ATC 2007: 70% of participants are losing

I've just got the latest stats report from MetaQuotes's hosted Automated Trading Championship 2007. It didn't surprise me that 70% of all participants are losing, 3.2% of them are not trading at all and only 26.8% are actually making profits. This reminds me that majority of traders lose within first few months of trading, and many more are losing months or years later. Only a few make it to stardom. Well fortunately though that if you're losing, you're not alone. The initial equity of each participant was $10,000. Now on average, the net equity is now down to $8,000.
