no personal experience but he wrote a very interesting article (When not to trade Forex) on why trading Futures is better than Forex for most people, esp. if you are only interested in trading USD crosses.

scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page. I guess i could have given the link to his site but no spammer worth their salt would ever do such a thing ;)
