I dont really have much sympathy. The "testers" wouldnt have the faintest idea how to actually design and impliment a test plan, and therefore their input is of no value at all. Actually their input tends to bring additional confusion rather than clarifiction, and thats why any serious developer doesnt need to waste their time involving these idiots.

Even more alarmingly, I have yet to see any developer or a public forum impose a test plan on the "testers", which pretty much indicates the level of expertese these people are working at. On the odd occasion that people have tried to impose any sort of order on testers, they've failed quite miserably.

Unless the EA is so poorly implimented that its basic functionality is in question, and the developer needs people to point out basic flaws, I really do fail to see the point of asking a bunch of people to run an EA and report results.

But it gives them something to do, and keeps them off the streets and out of trouble, which is a good thing, so we should not be complaining
