Not to be raining on everyone's parade after this long discussion of who is a solid and weak firms out there, but DOESN'T ANYONE REMEMBER REFCO????? The matter of all this working capital doesn't mean anything b/c even a well reputable institution like Refco that had networkings all over the world can take down all the investor confidence and we all still wind up being screwed. Until someone has some kind of protection bond like SIPC/FDIC for forex firms, the everyday investor is screwed if the firm decides to become bankrupt.
