Important question!

Hi. I’ve been reading about forex, and I know I’ll need to get a good broker. So, I have a question. I hope you guys could help me with the answer: I read that there a some of them who offer a 4th digit on the pip spread, but there is one, TVF, who offers 5… What’s exactly the difference?? Which one is the best?? Thank

I guess it makes a big difference, just think about you getting to grab some good pips, for me it happens better a 5 digit pip. Or either if you're scalping, I guess this a pretty good feature.

Ok thanks pip-s wife. That makes me think about some good options.

5 pips digits is not intended to give traders a better grasp of market prices.

This is just a features that banks (who give prices to forex brokers to trade on) started to provide a while ago, and the brokers naturally followed up.

So I would be careful If I see a broker with only 4 digits, this would simply means that their price transparency is further reduced.

Good luck with your research.

I've had seen several brokers with only 4 digits on their spreads, for me this 5 digit spread represent a better way of helping traders to gain pips. I didn't even know it was something offered by banks though there are a few reputable brokers only offering 4 digits on their spreads.

Fractional pips just gives the trader a finer resolution on pricing. For example some broker will quote the EUR/USD at 1.2942 and others will quote 1.29423. It can lead to better pricing sometimes.

Thank you! I want to learn, practice and trade with the best… Your posts are helping me so much

I didn’t know this, of course this is a big difference in the market, can be EXACTLY what we need, especially for beginners that have to work with more numbers than others.

I've come to the conclusion a better pricing and a 5 digit spread may be better for my strategy.
