Choosing a broker

Hello everybody!

I am about to open a live account and try a real-time trading. I was using a MT4 platform provided by Alpari UK for my demo account. Guys please advice what broker I should choose as I know some of them are not very reliable or have a lot of limitations such as no scalping allowed, limited numbers of indicators on one screen and many others.

I wouldnt use fxdd either ive seen some bad things from them closing out $6k+ of positions for no reason and then no explaination/fix offered.
If you want to try Mt4 which seems to be the most flexible try interbankfx.com northfinance.com or www.alpari-idc.com Branches. Forex with Alpari

NEVER USE fxcm.com or fxcm no dealing desk or any broker that gets you to sign an introducing broker agreement for fxcm.
DOnt use fxsol.com.
Efx and mbtrading are ok but they have limited platforms but you can through an API connect MT4 to Mbtradings servers but is more cost.
Heres a list of some ratings but dont beleive them some are from the brokers themself trying to get business.

In reality if you use a USA broker you risk all your capital being held if they declare bankruptcy, possibly never get it back, as happened in refco situation which they still have my money.Look at Enron?
USA = most corrupt legal system in the world.
German UK and swiss brokers have diff laws on customer funds.
And YES Marketiva is more like a game even Oanda is better.

I am newer to the expert advisor and was wondering how to get the watch candle to be an even number eg. 4 o'clock candle and not the 3:30 candle.Does any one know how to change this in the expert?
Your help would be greatly appreciated

When selecting a prospective Forex broker, find out with which regulatory
agencies it is registered with....
If you wish to easily use forex trading platform then use brokers which provide trading platform with no software downloads

In my experience marketiva really isn't that bad if you're not an fx expert yet since their platform is really easy. Once you get the hang of it and prefer mt4 or other platforms, then that's the time you can say Marketiva isn't good for you anymore. For newbies to fx trading, they're actually a good choice since there is no need to invest a lot just to start trading live. The support is excellent in terms of how fast they respond although they're not always good in English, and withdrawals are actually fast and hassle-free.

MT4 brokers however, well, it really depend on what you're looking for. Some traders have a lot of negative things to say about a broker based on their experiences and the way they trade, so if you base it on other people's reviews make sure you consider how biased the opinions are or what they're based on and whether it would affect you or not. I am also still on the hunt for a really good broker so I can use the mt4 platform for live trading, and I look forward to getting a lot of information here.
