Hi Giapel,
I have been trading the EA on a test account for 2 months now. It is showing an avareage of about 10% per month profit. The problem is that it uses a kind of martingale logic. Its not really martingale as it doesnt double the lots but it does add 1 lot if the trade fails. Its slightly more complicated than that though. It seems to work like this Trade Placed 0.1 lots Trade hits SL next Trade placed 0.2 lots, if trade reaches TP then goes back to 0.1 lot if trade hits trailing stop and closes with just small profit it ups to 0.3 lots, If trade hits SL next trade is 0.2 again. It seems to calculate the profit it should have made from the first 0.1 lot and then if its stoped below that profit it ups the lots until the profit has been reached. In the 2 months ive tested the EA its got upto 0.8 lots on a 10K account. I hope that helps you a little. |

I am using DoublePlay 4.5 on live account, but not alone. I use it to balance my own EA.
I have written to Hal to discuss the MM in Version 4.5, and know that his is a genuine EA developer. If you writes EAs yourself, it is easy to tell who is an insider and who is not. In my opinion, Hal is developing his EA, though with limited success. The biggest problem is the drawdown (can be bigger than 30%). The money management is that the EA adds 0.1 after losing a trade. If one starts the EA at the losing cycle. the result can be very frustrating. I guess this is the reason why people who believe EA can solve everything will find DoublePlay very disappointing , or even a scam. If you are lucky enough to start the EA at the winning cycle, the performance is not bad. But the question is who can tell. So the risk is always there. Since I know how to code, I reduce the risk by limiting the maximum lot to 0.5, which can reduce the drawdown a little bit. I am still using DoublePlay to balance my own EA just because I can't find a better one. EAs save us time and energy, but they are far from perfect. I am trying very hard to learn, but still find myself no better than Hal. |

Hi
Why can't we see any reliable long term back tests and forward tests on Halyconfx products? Index of /blog/statements/doubleplay_v4.5 none of the commercial Expert Advisor sellers are offering real account access trading with real money, to verify their cllaims about performance I don't trust the expert advisors made by commercial sellers. They show you forward tests and backtests on dummy accounts, of the recently profitable expert advisors. They show a few months of results . Ask them to show you several years of real account statements .These statements prove the conviction and belief of the sellers .If they have not got real account statements ,it proves the sellers do not believe in their own expert advisors Most of the commercial expert advisor sellers fail to provide longer backtests, let alone forward tests .The forward tests provided will be less than 3 to 6 months .After every EA failure/account blowout ,they start with new forward tests , so they don't have long real account statements or forward tests..Backtests of several years gives an indication of historical performance and consistency of expert advisors The vast majority of commercial expert advisors are sold by crooks and scammers ,so if you buy from them you are likely to lose money plus the loss of money in purchaing expert advisors. Some expert advisors are very very good and worth paying $1k to $2k, really a very cheap ticket into the profitable 5% club The only sure way of knowing the quality and performance of expert advisor ,is by having access to real live trading account as an investor and seeing the expert advisor trading and in action. Most of the commercial Expert advisor sellers will only show you dummy demo accounts and forged/manipulated backtests and forward tests. They can now provide foregeries of live account statements showing profits ,which are not true. The expert advisors sold on Ebay can be lethal to your profits. Most expert advisors will lose you money http://www.fxfisherman.com/forums/fo...or-scam.html?=. Ask yourself two simple questions If the system is good and making money consistently , why is he selling it? All he has to do is trade it on auto lot and make MILLIONS $ trading it.Selling EAS for $100 to $300 is not very profitable compared to trade a good EA Does he not have the confidence to trade his own system with real money? Maybe a dodgy system /scammer here is promoting his scam .Where are his actual traded broker statements ?Are the profit claims made by a few scammers aiding and abeiting a scammer?
