Firefox and Memory Leaks

Hey,
Have you ever seen a single web browser that eat up more than 600 Megabytes? Here it is Firefox with 600 MB usage (RAM + Virtual Mem in hard disk). I'm lovin' it! ![]()

Personally, I love Firefox.
On the memory usage thing, I discovered, strangely enough, that if you minimise Firefox a huge amount of usable memory disappears. Apparently this is the same for all Windows apps - try it, most amusing. The memory leaks may also be attributable to extensions you have installed also but maybe not. Could I suggest you log into their Forums and ask the question? I'd be surprised there's not already heaps of people with the same issue. I'd prefer to not use IE based browsers given their weaknesses but browser usage is very much a personal thang - I'll stick to Firefox for the majority of my browsing needs. Cheers Martin |

I don't know why my firefox 1.0.5 occasionally crashes, and memory usage is growing, although I have disabled majority of extensions and switched to the default skin. I should post this issue at firefox forum. |
