I dont have any experience, but whenever i get an idea I make sure I have a programmer in handy, though i dont pay them directly. If they think my idea is a good one then they will accept and program it. The reward is, if it works, then there might be alot of money made just for listening and making the strategy written.
Life has his programmers and strategy finders. I'm getting into the habit of carrying a pen and paper so that when I have an idea I write it down for later use. So for me, no mql language

Unfortunately, I can't write in MQL either. I find it unnecessary for me to learn as I can write my strategies in visual basic code.
I know there are many MQL experts there in a yahoo group (groups.yahoo.com/group/ MetaTrader_Experts_and_Indicators). You can ask 'em to convert ur idea to code.

I had an idea for scalping, and i needed a programer to backtest it, i was looking for one, but the idea looked so simple, that no one believed it could be profitable. I was lucky, one of them helped me, and fot an effort of using a realy profitable expert =). sometimes profitable ideas are so simple.

Yes, I agree. Simple idea can make profit too. One can get profit from any aspect.

be wearing though that scalping backtesting has a reputation for messing up. Look on the yahoo group that scorpion posted, you will see that there is a scalper called "Abhay Scalper". It looked so good, but the first day you turned it on, it messed up, big time. If you go back to around the 2000 posts and see Abhay written alot, you will see that I was helping him program it. Unfortunately we found out that it was just making profit after profit after profit because the trend was set with the futuristic data. So good luck working with backtesting scalping models

Gazuz, this one is not lagging, checked today, it was trading live today ona a demo, and by now i have two closed positions , both profitable.
