Default Hello--advice

I trade at a non-metatrader broker. I just opened a mini and demo account at interbank. I want to trade the whole automated trading thing. I was hoping to get a reccomendation on which one of the free experts around would be a good one to try on the demo.

That is a good question there moseley, this has been asked many times but I've never seen it put in this way. Usually people ask "which expert makes profit" but you seem to want to experiment. I recommend going in the Trading Systems discussion board of this forum. Many things have been discussed especially how the experts are made etc. You may play with the settings or, you could go to the Indicators discussion board of the forum and play with those until you think you've found something. I believe the forex is a lot of trial and error and includes alot of personal characteristics in the trading (for example you might want to trade small lots for a long period of time or big lots in small periods of time or small lots and small and big in big. You could also trade only during news hours or only during non-news hours or both, etc). I suggest you spend time playing with everything and don't give up too fast because I'm sure some of these experts, if used correctly, could rack in a lot of profit.

Well I trade with Oanda but I just opened a interbankfx mini specifically to play with some of the auto traders. I've done this enough to expect some losses. But clearly no one trades to lose.

I wasted a whole day at work yester trying to decide where to start. I picked the Cyberia which is running on a demo account. The problem is I am not a coder and the main board for that EA is in Russian, which I don't speak. I would like to be able to use that EA to trade in one direction ie follow what I believe the daily trend to be. The presets seem to have a block sale and purchase but I think that would keep a position from closing. Anyone know how one would add a coice to only trade in one (choosible) direction??

Double click the expert will bring this Settings window. From that, you can choose "Long & short positions" or just one.

You now you can still use Markitiva, think I mispelled it. If you are in US, just say you are from India or something and there you go, free account!

moseley, i too have been backtesting on Cyberiatrader with various results. The settings make all the difference and them timeframes. What settings have you found to be consistant even with small gains.
