Hello everyone,

I have mentioned this at a random time under status but I am working on a gaming website. Basically all it is is a website full of little flash games (some with high scores, some without). As I want to advertise this, I have found a pretty good investment is to start a raffle. The raffle goes as follows: you get one ticket entrance per visitor that you bring under your ref link. After one month or so (probably around the end of April) there will be one raffle ticket drawn out and that person will win $25 (or a total of $30 if it is an item). Now here is when I need all of you guys to help me. This is for mostly people 14 and up meaning the winner might not be over 18 therefore I can't pay through paypal. Does anyone have any suggestions I could use? Maybe items for the teens and whatnot.

Hey,

There are many kinds of advertisement depending on your target audiences (child, teen, adult, or oldie). It's always a good idea to have a lucky draw to select a few lucky referers every month. But as most of audiences are Gamers, you should also consider giving a reward to the best player of the month (based on highscore).

What technoligies are you using to build and run your website? Asking because I have done some basic things like this, and am looking into doing it more.

its verrrry basic its called PostNuke, the only special thing about my website is the cash rewards. i guess alot of people are greedy and stuff but if I reach out to enough people I make a profit off of the banner ads and clicks and whatnot and then give back some of it to my viewers. I just need to know what kind of rewards to give at first. Something that is wortth 25 dollars but doesnt look pathetic and not exciting

I am adding more, I started doing this just last weekend actually (bought the hosting with unlimited bandwidth and 2.25G disk space). I am also working a bit on the technical side: changing the welcome email, adding the ref link to the Accounts page. Also trying to change the header and those green graphics on the front page (very ugly). Anywho this is my current project.

Advertisment method: post one game in forums and tell them to try to beat a certain score. That'll make them want to go on other games and check those out, see the ref competition and advertise for me. All that and I just pay $25, just need to find if I should do an item or if I should pay cash...

Never have hurd of PostNuke. Is it PHP? JSP/Strauts/JSF? What is the website, I'd like to take a look at it. And maybe join you depending on what technoligies you are using.

its PHP. I am still working on graphics again and getting rid of bad games

So PHP is the HTML portion of the website. What about the games? Example yahoo does it games in java applets.
