Hey, how do you make this work with MT4? I dont see an option in MT4 to import ascii data

there is a way but you need to change the file format to a text file it think. I remember doing this some time ago.

www.forex-historical.com

We supply free daily data compartible with Metatrader. Visit Free historical data and choose "Download Free data (MT4)".

After downloading unzip the archive. Start MT4.
Press F2 to run "History Center" (Tools -> History Center).
In the left panel choose instrument ( currency pair) and (by double clicking on it) choose appropriate time scale.
For the forex-historical free data choose Daily (D1) for fileterd intraday data choose 5 minutes (M5).
After setting your cursor on correct timescale choose import. Then browse for data files you wish to import.
Press Ok to start importing.

Also have special version of commercial filtered ASCII data for import to MT4.
It is available for downloading by your request (email to support@forex-historical.com) after purchasing general ASCII data.
