I dont ever recall publically stating this, I think the closest I came was

"If he's splitting the profits with his army of shrills, and one or two forum administrators, its not really mega bucks is it ?"

Note the use of the word IF

Steintz's thread certainly generated traffic for TSD which was probably one of the reasons why on occassions the site's admin turned a blind eye.

Don's still up to his old tricks, posting on youtube, and of course, 2 weeks into the month he's showing statements from yet another new account opened at the beginning of this month. Same old trick, open a bunch of new demo's each month, stick an EA on each, then publicise the good results, forget about the rest. Same old nonsense 20% ROI in a week, 120 wins, no losses (and no stops )

Next month start again. The worlds full of people who'll fall for it time after time. In fairness to Don, he published his rather lame method, and provided everything anyone would possibly need to establish the method was worthless. Its not really his fault people are brain dead, he's just exploiting the situation, he didnt cause it

Hello. Newbie here and wondering if, with stop/loss and trailing stops could the software actually work? What I notice is you can make money but the majority of the losses are from not knowing when to get out.
Any thoughts.

The basic philosophy on which the EA is based is reasonably sound, attempting to enter existing trends on pullbacks. The idea of diversifying risk across multiple pairs has some merit (particularly in the absense of a hard stop)

Don's personal strategy is to let losses run, and cut profits short, however the EA contains a few bells and whistles and as I recall its possible to set stops based on a whole bunch of stuff, fixed pip amounts, ATR multiples, change of colour on trend indicator etc. The EA has some reasonable features, ability to track max adverse excursion, max favourable excursion etc but nowhere near the level of sophistication you'd probably require.

The main problem is that with a trend following system you need to be able to identify what constitutes a trend, and a pullback. It also helps if you can identify sensible targets and stops.

Although most here will probably disagree with what I'm saying the Heiken Ashi candles used in isolation (which they are) are completely inappropriate for identifying trend. Over a wide enough sample they're 50/50. The EA may as well take random entries (which is what it's actually doing in reality, but the author wont accept thats the case)

When you strip the EA down to its bare essentials, its a moving average cross.

None of the above will prevent you from making money with the EA if some discretion is applied, but if your using discretion, why bother with an EA ?

At one point there where a bunch of guys serious about testing this thing, had they gone ahead they may have actually learned something, unfortunately their efforts where totally wrecked by Steintz and his army of shrills advocating the no stops strategy posting fraudulent results

In conclusion the EA wont work, because its only got about 5% of what it needs, and the 5% it has got aint that smart

Does anybody know how can I put an alarm in MTF_4tf_Bar Upper/Lower A,
when I want to search a retrace from the higher time frame to the lower one.
I like very much this method but I like to test it manually first in order to understand the method and the program.
