Well its exploiting the traffic and making money at the expense of others... talking about HYIP just make them more popular in the scene.

Yes and No. Some people actually make money on HYIP. The fact that they are scam is just because some people do not understand that there is no such thing as high yield. If people use it, I provide it.

If you see it this way... then fine... I suggest you open a forum on car theft, bank robberies and drug traffic... because following your logic... some people make money from these too

Two years ago or so, frankly I was playing with 12dailypro the infamous autosurf program that raised $50 million in less than nine months. SEC, NFA and FBI were involved to shut it down and took Charis F. Johnson the HYIP admin to court. The verdict was clear: HYIPs and Autosurfs are illegal. It's scam-ridden industry.

You can't say "HYIPs are illegal".

HYIP is a general word for all high return invests. Private Programs proposed by the top of world banks are HYIPs as per their returns but aren't illegal nor scams.
