Default Information about Halcyon Forex Expert Advisors

Hello Everyone.

I am Hal Chapman. Founder and Lead MQL4 developer at Halcyon Forex (halcyonfx.com)

I am here to answer any questions folks may have about our systems.

In summary:

They are NOT curve fitted
They are NOT martingale
The DO have reasonable stop losses
Stop loss and take profit are "hidden" so that your brokers can't hunt for them as easily.

And to top it off. they are some of the most economic systems around. (for the time being)

In addition. I provide unlimited upgrades and top level support (from myself being in the Hi-Tech industry for 8 plus years already) If you have problems with your systems, I will personally help you though them. Support is via emai but I have been know to call some of my customers (at my expense) to help them through issues. Oftentimes this results in my customer turning into a new friend. That is one of the differences between halcyonfx.com and other EA vendors.

In the near future halcyonfx.com will be offering full color VIDEO instructions on how to set up your EA with Metatrader, How to attach to a chart, how to set up Metatrader 4 properly to get 90% modeling quality on back test and much many more. We are even considering online MQL4 classes if there is enough interest. (Hint: if you want to lears to make your own EAs let me know!)

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

If you have any questions feel free to post them here or PM me and I will do my best to address your concerns.

Best regards,

Hal Chapman

Default About Market Indices and Stop Losses

Hi Hal,

I'm one of your customers who bought your EA from Ebay and I also went to your website for extra info. The description you gave about the Doubleplay 2.0 EA says that the internal logic of the EA takes into account 6 or so market indices before it decides to trade. I was just wondering whether you're referring to the Dow Jones Index, Nikkei Index or commodities like gold, oil etc. sort of like an intermarket and correlation analysis and if so, how does the EA get the information for this in realtime when the broker's data feed for Metatrader only provides currency quotes and only occasionally the quotes for gold? Does the EA tighten its stop during sharp price moves like what the chandelier stops do? Are you also open to suggestions for future enhancements to the EA upon customer requests?

I need to sharpen that description. It is not market indices; instead it should say indicators. All of them are available on MT4. My apologies.

>> Does the EA tighten its stop during sharp price moves like what the chandelier stops do? <<

It does not currently do that. But that is an interesting feature that I may consider if it looks good after testing.

>>Are you also open to suggestions for future enhancements to the EA upon customer requests?<<

Not only am I open for suggestions but I encourage them. The better the EA the more successful my customers are and the better for me as well. This is only logical.

Having said that, DoublePlay 03 is due out this weekend. New features added will be:

- Money Management algorythm that decides the lots to buy based on your account balance.

- Risk variable that you can set to 1 for least risk all the way up to 5 for maximum risk (this acts upon the money management mentioned above)

- Pause after close. This is so that another trade is not opened immediately after one is closed. I have done much testing and I have observed this to be something that will help to further filter out bad trades.

- Co-existance with other EAs in same account. - This is so that if you have other EAs trading it will not interfere with their trades.

I hope that I have addressed all of your questions appropriately. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can be of assistance with.

Thank you and best regards,

Hal Chapman
