Firstly I hope this is not the wrong place to post this.

I'm after a commerical grade qaulity EA and willing to pay good money. However the author needs to provide forward testing results from a live account.

- must have excellent modelling quality
- wins 75% of trades or can minimise lost trades
- keep drawdown to a minimum
- safety and consistentcy is the key not outright profits
- provide live account balance of performance

I know I'm going to get flamed but I'm not a programmer or have the time and resources to trade 24/7. And I'm well aware of scammers. If you are a commerical seller simply PM me for discretion.

Any recommendations welcome!

What about Halcyon Forex? Seems to be a very professional company and Hal advertises on these forums.

Also I just saw you post on Todaysforex.com. So did you get any answers about these guys? I read on another forum they were the real deal 100% legit. The TFX3 Expert Advisor apparently is pretty good?

There aren't any ads from Halcyon Forex in this forum. Besides, advertisement has nothing to do with "professional company". Bad companies advertise too.

Interesting, if someone had an EA with all the qualities you described, would he sell it ? I can`t answer for everyone, but I know I wouldn`t. If I were short on money to trade the EA myself, I would search for investors, or take a loan.
The main reason why I wouldn`t sell stuff like this is that I am really concerned, that once you created something effective, and start spreading it (forex wise), the more popular the system gets, then less profit it brings. I have no evidence to provide with this statement, so this is strongly my belief, no need to judge. But still it is interesting whether you will find what you are looking for.

Yeh I think your right perhaps the brokers would see it and adjust there software to suit as of course they dont want people to make money.

Ravique, I second that. I would rather find investors and manage their money. It'd earn me much more while retaining trade secret.

You know I've been thinking the same thing. If someone developed a system that could make consistent money why would you share it. I've always wondered if the brokers could adjust the MT4 data to stop it from making profits.

There's only one way to do this. Design my own EA from scratch which will be a long journey. But hopefully with an IT backgroud picking up the programming skills again won't be a struggle?

If you know java, c/c++, c# or vb.net, it's just too easy to learn MQL. By the time you've learned enough, you can use my EA Upgrader to help you produce professional EAs.

This was my learning curve:

Variables: variable types, extern, static.
Conversion: Normalize(), DoubleToString(), etc
Function declaration: init(), start(), deinit(), etc.
Predefined variables: High, Low, Open, Close, Time, Bid, Ask, Period, etc.
Indicators: iMA(), iADX(), iRSI, iHigh(), iLow(), etc.
Custom indicator: iCustom().
Order functions: SendOrder(), CloseOrder(), DeleteOrder(), OP_BUY, OP_SELL, etc.

That should be easy
