The results for the month have revealed the potential of this method. There has been a trade every day - or at least most days that I was able to follow the system.

Alex - the way you have conducted this thread has really given the "little trader" confidence and hope, and I think I speak for everyone in saying a very much appreciated "thank you" for your time and effort and patience.

I know you have a busy life with your private trading room, as well as the responsibility for managing your private client's accounts, so it has been a privilege to have shared one month with you in trading this system.

There have been a few losses, and these have been managed according to the rules of the system. In fact it gives even greater confidence because one naturally expects any mechanical (or rules-based) system to have its share of losses. The fact that these were kept small is excellent testimony to the robust nature of ProFx as a system.

I bought the system in October 2007, and because of this thread, I dusted off the cobwebs and began to demo trade it again. I have been so pleased with the results that I have now upgraded to the new system, and expect to have the download link within the next day or so.

It seems more and more people are coming to see the potential in ProFx V.2, and it is clear that your assistance in answering questions has been a major contribution towards that.

Ok I am starting to get it now, the EA creates an arrow when to buy is this correct? Then I assume in the instruction manual there is information on how to calculate your target and stop loss eg 100pips target? The target and stop loss however is negated if a sell arrow kicks in as you then exit on the arrow.

If this is correct what I would like to know is if the buy arrow happened much earlier, what was the signal to buy when we entered? I cannot see another arrow that was generated, plus what time frame was used hrly charts? If I can work out how this works I will buy the program over the weekend to try out during next week.

So that's all I can tell you - it means that V2.0 is a NEW build and is not an updated V1.0.
When I received mine, I could immediately see that there are some good new features:

* There are 8 templates to choose from now, instead of one
* Templates consist of a choice of 4 different colour schemes
* Templates offer a choice between basic, and "+"
* The "+" means you can add:
.... Clearly marked Support and Resistance
.... Current spread display
.... Time display for New York, Tokyo, London
.... GMT display
.... Length of time since candle opened
* All Indicators are fully customisable for:
.... Colour
.... Line thickness
.... Arrow colours
.... Ability to add personal features and Indicators
* Once customised and saved under a new name, templates do not revert back to original configuration.

For this reason it is advisable not to save changes under the original template name, but to save as a new template, with own unique name.

At this point in time I have not really read the manual for fine details, but I can say it is a much better manual than the ProFxV1.0 provided. So far I have been adding my own personal touches to the display, but will now turn my attention to the manual. I want to be ready when the market opens, because I am intending to spend a full month demo trading it, before placing any live trades.

The bottom line here is that I am very happy with the value-for-money I received from the company, and I think their offer to give the discount for bona fide owners of their first version, is a very generous gesture.

They didn't have to offer any discounts, just like Alex didn't have to freely demonstrate how to make 1000 pips with it.

But they did ... and he did.

I expect this software to pay for itself very quickly ... and on what we have seen here, that is a reasonable expectation. I only trade manually because I like having full control.
