i want too ask in so many indicators what great indicator for forex trading...

I'm not a huge fan of indicators, even though alot of times you can mess around with one and find a use for it, I find that they distract me from what's happening for the most part. My setup uses a 60 period wma and a parabolic sar (just for back up s/l plotting and confirmation) on standard settings. I'd say get amongst it and find what works for you....just watch the charts, try MT4 out and go through a few years of data and see what the indicators do if you'd like to see them in action. I did, and came to realize I like my simple set up the best. Best of luck man.

A good indicator will give you good trading signals in advance .Most of the free indicators are lagging and give you information after the event and they give too many false signals to be useful

I made two custom indicators and were specially designed for me.The probability manager indicator is a combination of stochastics,rsi,adx,supertrend,macd,support and resistance,divergence indicators..It also uses price action in the indicator .Level 50 is uptrend and level -40 is down trend, inbetween is not sure.Most of the false signals are filtered out by the probability manager

The purpose of the is post is to help a new trader understand the importance of a good indicator.
There are few useful indicators that are any good

Attached is a chart with several indicators.In addition to the 5 free indicators and price action plus supertrend indicator to read ,a trader has to look at many other aspects of trading .If there was just one indicator which calculates overall market strength , the trader can rely on it and make better decisions on the trading ,instead of putting his energies on trying to work out the overall market strength from looking at 7 different sources, trying to work out false signals,correct signals,trend,overrbought,relative strength,trend trength , price action etc.It would be a lot easier just looking at one indicator ...make life so simple

In the atttached chart there are so many lagging and false signals from all the different indicators, but if you put them all in one great indicator, I'm sure a lot of those false signals would be eliminated or reduced ...if price action is also implemented in one indicator.

That is my opinion and thats what message boards are for ...discussing indicators etc

If new TRADERS are using indicators ,I suggest using only one or two indicators ....ones that are non lagging and predictive

I do not sell anything but if I was selling ,I can advertise free on your site as a member.There is therfore no need advertise in free discussion boards ,when u have free advertising from the site.

I am trying to discuss my indicator and other pros and cons of other indicators.If u feel I am trying to advertise ,then please delete my posts.

I can only show my indicator in relation to the other indicators,but if u feel I am trying to advertise ,then I won post anything about any of my free systems and indicators on this board
