AeroVironment Inc, a maker of unmanned aircraft systems, posted a 24 percent drop in quarterly profit, trailing market estimates, on higher expenses, and it lowered its full year revenue growth forecast, sending its shares down 29 percent.

After quarterly data released on Friday, with a report of a loss of over $91K from Q3 2008 compared to gains of $43K, $82K and $162K over previous three quarters, a lower trend is all but inevitable.

J Crew's, expects solid Q1. Co slid into the red after quarterly sales dropped, but unveiled a first-quarter outlook that surpassed Wall Street expectations.

Salix Pharm, issues downside guidance for Q1, sees EPS of ($0.38)-($0.37) vs. ($0.29) consensus; sees Q1 revs of $46-47 mln vs. $49.40 mln consensus.

(PSS) - short
Collective Brands reports larger 4Q loss. Co reported losing $144 mln, or $2.28 per share in the same period a year ago the Co lost $46.6 mln, or 73 cents per share.

Trading activity was generally listless during the session today. At the closing bell, major U.S. indices closed the trading session mixed. Talk on the street today revolved around the bonuses AIG is planning to pay executives who were responsible for the fall of the insurer. President Obama has ordered the Treasury Department to do whatever needs to be done, to stop the action.
