I'm green as grass with forex so go easy on me!

I have a query for anyone who cares to answer.
I would like to download the various daily indices from the web with a web query in excel. I have a MS template (supplied with Excel 97) to download stock quotes, indices etc,. I would like to add the price of oil and gold, and a couple of extra indices to the list (Nickei, CAC, DAX,) to the query but I cannot find a list of symbols for these commodities (or any other for that matter) on the Microsoft money site. Through a very frustrating period of the last two days I have searched the MS site and cannot find the relevent symbols.
Is there anyone out there that can point me in the right direction -please - Microsofts "Help" is SOOOO frustrating! Any help would be much appreciated.
