MA Cross Email alert? Why so hard?

MA Cross Email alert? Why so hard?
I'm not a programmer.
Is there a technical reason there is not a MA indicator that sends an email alert when one MA crosses and closes above or below the the other? All I want to use it for is a heads up in the middle of the night. I've found at least 20 of them but none work correctly. Some don’t wait for the close. Some send multiple alerts. Others just don’t work at all. Can someone who knows more about programming explain why apparently it can't be done? It seems like the most basic simple indicator out there.
