problem installing the indicator please help

i have downloaded the indicator beginner.mq4 and copied it to experts/indicators

the problem is that the metatrader doesnt read it and i cannt see it under my custom indicators

ps:1)the file is in mq4 extension
2) in my EA properties its says enable ea(except for custom indicators and script)
is that relevant ?

Double-click beginner.mq4 in Experts\Indicators, the MetaEditor (not MetaTrader) should open. Press F5 in MetaEditor to compile mq4 in ex4. That's it, after that the indicator should appear in Navigator list in MetaTrader.

Are you sure that Beginner.mq4 is an indicator?

If I remember, it is an EA.
