Taking trading advice from a guy who sold vitamin for a living isnt particularly sensible.
Ed Seykota's comments about overcoming transaction costs is of course correct, but he fails to take into account the frequency at which day traders get to apply our edge. I presume Ed Seykota is trading larger positions than me, and if so thats also going to prove problematic if not approached sensibly, but an independant trader or small fund really isnt going to experience those kinds of issues. |

the long term traders I know make nothing compared to the day traders, I am more of a swing / longer term trader as I cant do this whole day trade thing, but I wouldnt be that quick to knock all day traders, some have been doing it for many many years,

everybody is giving advice on what to do
and no one tells you what NOT to do
